The Murphy family are friends of ours. In fact, they live in our neighborhood. I was so excited when Megan called me up and wanted to book a photoshoot! I went over to their place for the consultation and to design and plan their shoot. The kids were so excited they were bouncing everywhere! When discussing location ideas I knew I had to throw out Jordan Pines. Not only is it beautiful this time of year, but there are lots of open fields and space for the kids to run and have fun! Megan agreed and got to work planning outfits. 

     They day of the shoot arrived and I drove up the canyon to Jordan Pines early to survey the location. It was crawling with photographers! I always joke that this is the only time I get to see my photo friends during fall family picture season - and sure enough, I bumped into a few buds while we were there. I hiked around, almost up to the Donut Falls Trailhead and then headed back down the road to wait for the Murphys. 

     When they arrived, the kids were full of energy! We walked for a bit to find some empty spots to shoot and got to work. The session went so well! Once the kids warmed up to me and listened to all my crazy prompts. Their favorite was when I gave them a code word that was secret and something their parents didn't know, and then on the count of 3, yell it really loud. The code word was, "fart buckets." So classy, I know. haha! I then pretended that that wasn't the word I had given them and acted so embarrassed that they would say that aloud! They sure got a kick out of it! 

     The kids did so well that we ended up walking all over the place and shot for a good hour and half! Megan and Sean had so many pictures to choose from, it made me glad that I didn't have to do that for them! I'm so in love with these images and all the fun we had at the shoot!
