The Crawfords are some of the kindest, most loving, genuine people I know. Best of all they are our neighbors! (I can see their house from my front door!) I loved taking their snowy family pictures while all their girls were visiting for the holidays. Mark is a lucky man to be surrounded by so many beautiful women! We wanted to go somewhere snowy, but with easy access for the kids. Hidden Valley Park was the perfect spot! It's like a 10 minute drive from our houses and had just recently had a fresh coating of snow! When I arrived at the location I was thrilled to see that Susan had brought the cutest wreath to don their family pictures! (If you know Susan, this comes as no surprise! Everything she does is cute and has that extra bit of flare!) It was pretty cold, but everyone was such a great trooper through it all! As we were walking back to the path to head to our cars, the sun was dipping below the mountains and was painting everything in such a beautiful, golden color. I made them stop for a few more pictures! Luckily they humored me, because they turned out beautiful! I took the grandkids aside and asked if they wanted to make a magical picture. At first they were confused, but I showed them what happens when they throw snow and I'm shooting wide open. By focusing on them, all the bits of powdery snow look like glitter! A few of them wanted to try it out and have their own "glittery-snow" picture. They are probably my most favorite images from the shoot! I loved being able to photograph Susan, Mark and their extended family! I'm sure they will treasure these images forever!
