It's funny how people come in to your life - especially when it comes to clients. Julie found me randomly online, liked my work and sent over an email. I instantly recognized her and her name - her husband is my aunt's brother. Naturally I thought my aunt had sent me her as a referral. It wasn't until our pre-consultation that we realized Julie had wanted to work with me before she knew I was related to her sister in law. In fact, we met probably close to 15 years ago when we had a birthday party for my uncle at her in-laws house when I was about 12! Julie is also from Oregon and found her way out to Utah thanks to Jared working for Adobe. We wanted to incorporate the mountains and trees into their pictures and I knew just the spot I wanted to take them. When I first moved to Utah, Tibble Fork was my happy place. It was the spot that looked and reminded me most of home. Tall pine trees covering the landscape. I took the Bradfields just past the reservoir to this equestrian parking lot. It had a gorgeous view of Timp, pine trees and bits of fall color poking through. Jared and Julie have three boys and they were so fun! Felt just like I was photographing my own brothers - fart jokes and all! haha! Their photographs are some of my favorite ones taken this fall! The lighting was so perfect and made all the colors so rich. When it came to picking out their pictures, it was hard to narrow everything down! They ended up getting prints of each of the boys, a canvas of Jared and Julie and my glass folio box full of 5x7 prints. I'm so happy we were able to "bump into" each other and create these gorgeous portraits.
