One of my favorite parts about having a baby boy at Christmas is getting to put him in the Santa suit. This little Santa suit has made the rounds. My mom got it when one of my brothers was a baby and it has been worn by half of them. Three years ago Jones wore it. And this year, by some miracle, Fields was able to fit into it (snuggly) and wear it for our Christmas card photos. Adding another kid to the mix (along with both your dogs) is always a challenge when you plan on taking your own pictures. Especially when you're me and want to have all the cute staging and Christmas props. One day while on Instagram I saw the Studio at Union Square had their space decked out with cute Christmas decorations and a freshly painted, big, beautiful, red wall. It would be perfect to go with the Santa Suit! I messaged them, asking if they allowed pets, and to my delight, they do! I booked a slot later that day. I got Jones some simple, stripped footies off of Amazon and planned on having the dogs wear their reindeer antlers. Since we were going through all the trouble and effort of getting the studio, I thought we should at least get a family shot while we were there. Reluctantly, Danny agreed to wear his flannel with me. It was a bit chaotic at first - being in a new place with the dogs and boys and wanting to explore everything, but everyone cooperated and the pictures turned out adorable! I can't decide which ones to print! Towards the end, the first one done with pictures was not Fields, as you might expect, but Indy! That little stinker kept pulling off her antlers and looking away from the camera on purpose! We shot for about 20 minutes and I love them all! Big shout out to my bestie, Amanda who came to be my human tripod and treat shaker to get the family picture! Our Christmas cards should be getting to us soon, if you want one, send me your address.
