We made it to the third trimester!! I am so excited! If you read my 1st trimester bumpdate you'll know that pregnancy is a scary thing for me. This is my fourth baby, but will be my second on earth. Prior to this little dude I gave birth to my stillborn son, Banks. Just before him I miscarried my daughter, Peyton. Jones is my oldest and will be turning three in April. I did the math, once I have this baby I'll have been pregnant for 18 out of 24 months. To say that I am done is an understatement. Being able to pass off little milestones and marks that I make up in my head has been so therapeutic for this pregnancy. I find myself expecting to find blood when I go to the bathroom fewer and fewer times and I plan and decorate the nursery with the faith that I'll be able to put my baby in it. Throughout this journey, photography and documenting has been my saving grace. With every babe I have, I take weekly pictures and then print them off in their baby book. I love seeing the growth and the change from week to week. Since I'm a sucker for these kind of progression pictures, I thought you might be too!
weeks 14 + 15 had some growth and my morning sickness was looking like it was gone for good!
16 weeks was spent at the happiest place on earth with 4 of Danny's siblings, their families, my younger brother, Thomas and our little crew. It was during this week that I fully embraced maternity pants and accepted the fact that wearing a panty liner from here on out is my life right now. Thank you discharge. Too much? Sorry. My filter is completely gone. (happens every pregnancy)
17 weeks was THE WORST. I spent almost the entire week in pain. What started out as me thinking I over did it in Disneyland quickly turned into, "something isn't right" and a trip to the ER where I was diagnosed with kidney stones. My first time ever. And I passed THREE. (I blogged about that back in December, you can read it, here.)
weeks 18 and 19 were much less eventful as I got my footing back and recovered from my rock garden. My little one is getting bigger!
twenty weeks! And looking more pregnant and less like I went to town at the all you can eat bar.
21 weeks was an exciting one! We found out that our little bird is a little boy! Jones is going to have a younger brother to play with! I was also relieved beyond measure to see that everything looks good and is exactly how a healthy little baby should be!
weeks 22 and 23 were spent planning out the "woodland" themed nursery for my little guy. Danny and I also spent countless hours going over our family trees for possible names. We decided that all our boys were going to have family last names as first names!
Twenty four weeks and starting to feel it. I started working out back in February doing my pregnancy work outs to try and help with my back (i.e. chase after my toddler) and it seems to be helping my sciatica. Other than that starting to pack on the weight! ha.
25 weeks! I take my glucose test this week. My glucose test was one of my milestones I had to cross. It was during that test that I found out we had lost Banks. I had been fine going to all my appointments solo or with Jones in tow, but this was one of the required appointments that I made Danny come to.
26 weeks was spent celebrating! I passed my glucose test, baby is fine, I'm just mildly anemic and need to take iron supplements. I am totally fine with that! Especially since that is exactly what happened with Jones. We are back in familiar territory! 27 weeks consisted of actually moving my butt and getting the nursery ready. For the last who knows how long it has been this office, nursery hybrid. Time to move the computer downstairs!
28 weeks! Welcome to day one of the third trimester! in just 12 weeks I'll be able to snuggle my little baby and soak in all the baby cuddles!
