We made it to 2020! Looking back over the year and decade I'm proud of the growth I've been able to see in myself. I'm proud of the confidence I've gained and that I can argue my points without shutting down and giving in. For the last little while, I've been making small goals that are easy to manage. Knowing myself, some big, monumental change is not going to happen every night. For example, back in 2015 I decided to make my bed every day. And I have. I've kept up that habit and I love it. It helps me already feel accomplished before the day starts. Sets a clean slate and helps get my mind in the zone to take on the day and be a cleaner person overall. All this is achieved by making my bed. See what I mean? Small things can have a large impact.
So as 2019 neared the end and I started to ask myself what I wanted to do better at I began to make my lists. Both personal and business all thrown into the mix, because, lets face it, as a small business owner, the two hardly stay in their own lanes, so to speak.
My Goals for 2020
- Get fit. (This last year after having Fields I was able to drop 55+ lbs and get to pre Fields, pre Banks and almost pre Jones weight. Now it's time to tone up so that I can keep up with these boys)
- Start a monthly newsletter (This will make it easy for readers to see the entire month's worth of blogs in one post - it'll be helpful if they don't see my posts advertising the latest blog)
- Strengthen relationships between friends and family (Last year was all about survival mode with adding another baby and trying to maintain a profitable business. I want to make time for the people I care about in my life and to grow our bond)
- Share My Testimony (I want my children and family to know what I believe)
- Print More Pictures (specifically try to get at least 2 years worth of picture of the day ready for printing)
- Build a fence and start my garden (Build up the side fence on our house and start a small planter box garden with the boys)
- Fireplace makeover (I have looked at my ugly fireplace for 5 years now, time for a face lift, if anything with paint - it can't get any worse!)
- Start shooting commercial work (find one online boutique and shoot their product)
- Find more excuses to be happy
- Keep on loving life
