Unexpected Perks to the Job | Whitney Beth Photography
 

I’m one of the lucky ones that gets to do what I love for a living. Seriously how awesome is that?! Photography is one of my all time favorite loves in life. Through this art I’ve been able to meet and serve my amazing clients, fulfill my desire to create and get outside. And from this amazing job, I’ve discovered the unexpected perks are just as good. 

1. I get to go hike and explore and slap a “location scouting” label on it. I love finding the most beautiful places in Utah. Even better, I get to take my kids out and “adventure” as we call it! We love to look for fairies and flowers and explore all the beauty around us. 

2. Closely following number one, is my expert knowledge of when flowers bloom and are in season. I love to garden and would love to be a florist if I ever get tired of photography. So knowing when everything is due to bloom is a fun thrill for me. I like to describe my shooting aesthetic as chasing after the flowers and following the blooms.

3. Meeting all my clients pets. I spend a lot of time with my clients between the pre-consultation, session and viewing/ordering appointment. Typically the viewing/ordering appointment is done at my clients home. My favorite thing is seeing and petting all the dogs and cats. I’m a huge animal lover and I am a sucker for your animals. I love getting to meet your furry family members.
