The Robison family is one of my favorite families to photograph! Ashley found me online, we set up a consultation and she booked. When we started designing their family shoot, the only criteria we had was "country," per Matthew's request. Ashley asked if I had any locations that looked country. I was so excited to tell her about Dimple Dell park! This year was the first year I had seen it sunflower like this. Meadows full of golden blooms, horse trails, old wooden fences, the works. It would be perfect! We thought we had this shoot planned and in the bag. Ashley even showed me outfits that she was thinking of using. After a little tweaks here and there, we were done! At least that's what we thought until Matthew came home and commented that the outfits weren't country enough. To be fair, they weren't. I left my style guide with them and told them to text or call with any questions regarding outfits. The next day I was greeted with outfit ideas via text. It basically turned into me virtually shopping with Ashley as she browsed the racks. So much fun! By the end of the day we had outfits picked out and all ready for the shoot!

    The day of the photoshoot arrived and we were blessed with perfect, golden light the entire shoot. The girls had a wonderful time frolicing through the sunflowers and trying to catch a glimpse of my lady bug friend. Their outfits were the perfect mix of Ashley and Matthew's style and went along with the landscape flawlessly. By the end of the shoot the kids were tired and getting wiggly so I pulled out some smarties for them to snack on and had them run around, chasing each other, their dad, and just having a great time. That was the perfect "pick me up" that they needed and we were able to get a few more shots in before we lost the light. 

     This was easily one of my favorite shoots. I loved interacting with the kids and seeing their different personalities shine through. Eevee is a girls after my own heart. Every chance she got she was picking flowers and making herself mini bouquets. That is exactly something I would've done at her age. At the reveal party I brought cookies and we all had the best time ever looking at all the pictures! It was so hard to narrow everything down! Everything turned out so well!
