How to Display Your Photos; Client Examples

September 28, 2018  •  Leave a Comment

As a follow up of last week's post about how to display your photos (you can read about it, here) I thought it would be awesome to show you how some of my past clients have chosen to display their pictures in their homes. I ran a little contest awhile back and had them submit their photos as entries. I loved getting a glimpse into how everyone's decorating style!

I looooove the use of an old window to show off all of these images from Baby Penny's newborns! It is an excellent way to display a lot of images without sacrificing wall space.

This gallery wall at my mom's is perfect! Especially with there being 10 kids in the family. I printed each image as an 8x10 and then matted and framed them into 10x13 frames.

Nick and Heidi printed a bunch of smaller images and displayed them in this collage frame. Perfect for lots of pictures and little space.

This is what I like to see! 16x20 print in a 20x30 frame! Proudly displayed over the fireplace - making it a focal point for their room. The colors chosen in outfits and locations also match the warmth and tone of the decor!

These 8x10's are the perfect size and touch for the hallway in which they reside in. Big enough to make an impact, yet small enough that you can see all the images at once.

This is a custom size 10x20 print in a 12x24 frame. It fits perfectly above the map and allows you to still be able to see everyone!

Another one of the awesome focal point images! I love this 16x20 sitting front and center on the mantel. Never a bad place to hang a prominent picture

I love how this gallery wall has an equal balance of small and large pieces. The shelf and 3D elements help give it dimension.

I love the 8x10's mixed in along with quotes and the family proclamation.

Sometimes it's just nice to have a solo piece on the wall. I love how this canvas draws you in and the candle holders frame it so well!

The perfect side table touch! This is when a single 8x10 really shines! Fun fact - that is Bib's wedding bouquet on display next to it! Love all the sentimental elements.

It's nice to be able to look at "real life" examples and see what people come up with. It helps me, for one, draw inspiration and see what ways I can add certain elements of displaying pictures to my home. It is so important to get those images off of your hard drive and onto walls, tables, albums, whatever medium you choose. This is your personal family history, it deserves to be enjoyed.
