Ashley and Ben are pretty frequent faces around here. (In fact, I just did Ashley's family pictures this summer) Given that we bonded over our love for doing stupid stuff in college like dying a strip of our hair teal and just hanging out, doing nothing. Ashley was the first one to teach me about the magic of baby powder as dry shampoo (or dry shampoo in general!) that's true friendship. A few years ago (pre Mia) Ashley called me up to say that her whole family was coming out from California and wanted some very "un-Californian" family pictures. What better way than in a giant snowy meadow?!

     When everyone started emerging from their cars, I couldn't help but tell them how proud I was for their outfits! They totally nailed it! Not only was everyone coordinated to perfection, but their outfits helped them stand out against their neutral background. Since Tina was the only little one we cranked out the big groupings and then her and her family as fast as we could so that she could stay warm in the car. Not that we ever ran into that problem since everyone was happily passing her around and snuggling those chubby cheeks! Once we finished all the typical breakdowns I asked if anyone had any requests. Ashley's aunts and grandma wanted a few portraits of themselves and they turned out so fun! Grandma even got into the novelty of the snow and threw some in the air for her pictures! This was such a fun group and I loved getting to know them and to bring a little Utah love with them home to Cali!
