I'm lucky enough to live so close to most of my nieces and nephews. Which also makes me lucky enough to be able to photograph milestones in their lives. Scarlet had been planning her baptism pictures for awhile and specifically requested "snow." Things were still pretty dead and barren down in the valley, but I knew that Jordan Pines up Big Cottonwood Canyon would be perfect. After driving up the canyon we were met with mountains of snow and tall pine trees. It was perfect. Scarlet and I left her mom and sleeping siblings in the car and had our own little photoshoot. The snow was pretty deep so we had to stay to the paths, but Scar was such a champ through the cold! We were even lucky to have a bit of flurries come here and there to add a bit of magic towards her pictures. 

     Towards the end of our shoot, as we took pictures along the way back to the car, I asked Scarlet if she was up for something crazy. I told her to throw snow in the air, and that it would look like glitter and magic! After a few failed attempts, we achieved it! (And the fact that Scarlet's hands were frozen!) We looked at pictures the whole way down the mountain. They had turned out so cute! I loved being able to have this special one on one time with my niece! It was so much fun to go to her baptism and see our pictures out on display. I love how they turned out!
