I'm blessed to be part of a community where I have so many talented friends. Stephanie and I graduated from UVU together! I loved being able to hire her for my maternity pictures. (here's her website) I knew I wanted to have my maternity pictures done when the blossoms were in bloom at the Utah State Capital. Last year was my first year shooting there and I totally fell in love with it! We were on blossom watch for a few weeks trying to decide when they would bloom. The day we had the shoot planned was scheduled to rain ALL DAY starting at noon. Since that meant overcast clouds, we bumped the time up to the morning and were able to shoot anywhere we wanted! (Thank you cloud diffusers!) I had my mom come with us to watch Jones and Steph's son when they weren't needed. On the drive up my mom commented on how great we all looked and it sparked a conversation about how I will always go "all out" for pictures since that is something that is important to me. And I do go all out! I hired Sarah to do my makeup and I even made my own flower crown. Everything came together beautifully. I was going for a flower child 70's vibe - but a bit more modern and I'd say it turned out pretty great! Steph took sooo many great photos it was hard to narrow them down to an acceptable amount for a blog post! Everything was perfect and I loved having someone else take control and get the shot. Thanks for the beautiful pictures Stephanie! I will cherish them forever!
