On Sunday, the first of September Danny blessed our little Fields. Blessing a baby is similar to a baby christening, but instead of baptizing the baby, we give him a name and a blessing. It's also a wonderful excuse for family to get together and celebrate the newest addition to our family. We decided on the 1st in order to monopolize on labor day weekend and be able to get as much family to come as possible. And it worked! I had all of my siblings and sibling in laws come, with the exception of one sister who is currently serving a mission in Kentucky. What was even more impressive was that we had all but one family from Danny's siblings come. So that's 8 of 9 siblings for me and 6 of 7 siblings for Danny. Throw in parents, uncles, aunts, cousins and friends and we had quite the party!

     Since church is at nine and we'd be getting done about ten, Danny and I thought it would be fun to do cookies and milk! We ordered some custom fox, raccoon and pine tree cookies from Stepp Creations. Judy is our neighbor and makes the cutest cookies ever! In keeping with Fields' "woodland" themed room, we carried over the theme to his blessing and I was able to use the same decorations from my baby shower that my sister in law threw for me. We also had other cookies that grandma's, aunts and friends brought too.

     Fields wore the same outfit that Jones wore for his blessing day. I was nervous it wouldn't fit, but we managed to squeeze him in! For reference, Jones was four months old when we blessed him, while Fields was three! It was equally snug on both of them! We are so blessed to have such a village to love on little Fields. Thanks to everyone who came and partied with us!
