Easter is one-ish weeks away, and thanks to current events, it's going to look a lot differently than in years past. April and all the spring festivities are some of my favorite parts of the year, starting with April fools, my birthday and all the Easter festivities. My mom, aunts and uncles used to have "practice Easter egg hunts" for my siblings and I. It stinks that I won't get to give my kids the Easter I had. It is especially bitter this year with Jones' birthday coming up and Fields' first Easter and all the bunny pictures we'll be missing out on.
(I had planned to launch my blog post about how to get the best Easter Bunny pictures with your kids and the 2.5 seconds you have with the bunny after the hunt, but that'll have to wait until next year. With social distancing, Easter egg hunts are not going to be happening.)
But guess what? I did something crazy.
I bought an Easter Bunny Suit!
I'm serious.
Just because we are all under quarantine doesn't mean we can't have our Easter Bunny pictures.
hear me out.
Send me a picture of your kids, your dog, your husband, whoever you want pictures of with the bunny to my email; [email protected] and that's it.
I will be photoshopping myself as the Easter Bunny into your photos. When I'm done, I"ll email them back and boom! Easter Bunny magic!
In order for your photos to work best, make sure you follow these steps when taking your pictures:
1. Outside is best, but if you can't be outside, make sure your subjects are facing a window.
2. Make sure you're shooting in shade and that the lighting is even - if you're inside turn off all lights and rely on natural light from the window.
3. Leave space for the bunny! (The best pictures are where the bunny is in the middle of the group!
4. Email your picture to [email protected] *Cut off date to ensure you have your picture before Easter is the 11th
5. Wait for your picture
6. Share it with friends and family and spread the cheer! (If you're posting to social media, please tag and credit me, Whitney Beth Photography)
Social distancing is wreaking havoc on my creativity and I'm finding the strangest ways to release all that energy into outlets. Let me help you spread a little cheer! Thanks for all your love and support you're giving my small business! Happy Easter!
