I have to say, out of every photoshoot I have ever done with Jones, this was the best. Maybe (most likely) it has to do with the fact that he's four and I brought a whoopie cushion to our photoshoot, but no photoshoot has ever gone as smoothly with no bribery as this one did. With Covid out there, I wanted to stay close to home and decided on Victor's Pond as our location for his FOUR year old pictures. (We came here for his one year olds too.)
I still can't believe I have a four year old. It seems like yesterday I had just found out I was pregnant, yet here we are. Jones is just as stubborn as I am and is quick to love. He is the best big brother and loves to love on Fields and the dogs. (As well as terrorize, because let's face it, he is my child.) His obsession with dinosaurs has evolved from cars to now, superheros. I love his little conversations and the way he takes in the world. He is such a tender hearted little guy and will occasionally break down in tears because he misses Peyton and Banks and Jesus (his sister and brother in heaven.) He is the most social little dude you've ever met. His favorite part about going on walks is stopping to talk to all the neighbors who are out. We've been talking a lot about germs in our house - thanks coronavirus - and if anyone gets to close he yells at them to "Stay away!" this is usually followed by, "there's germs! But my Heavenly Father is cleanin' them up!" Our elderly next door neighbor gets the brunt of all his yelling as he goes outside to get the mail. Jones loves to garden with me and to both of our surprise (and joy) have found that he is really good at weeding. On top of gardening, Jones is always right there next to me, ready to help with whatever I'm doing. Especially "building stuff." He talks constantly of the play house we are going to build, and a few weeks ago, Jones helped my build our first garden box. I love this little boy of mine. Mr. Jones is the best, I love my little four year old.
