The Simons family are close friends of mine and the cutest, sweetest family you will ever meet. Kenzie is such an amazing mom and friend and luckily trusts me when I suggest sunrise sessions on vacant lots in a developing neighborhood. I heard about this location and it’s vague whereabouts from another photog friend. I fell in love with it instantly and knew I wanted to shoot here. Because it was over in daybreak on the west side of the valley I knew that sunrise would be optimal so that I had our big mountains in the background. Kenzie and Wilson live over by me and this location as almost straight through from our houses. I thought it was kind of a sentimental touch that the same view of our mountains - just further west, would be in their photos. We shot bright and early at 8 on a sunny, cloudy morning. Everything was perfect. The kids were absolute angels and made me wish I could photograph them forever! We had such a relaxed, laid back time playing in front of my lens. We ended up shooting for 45 minutes and the final gallery had 180 to choose from! Totally unheard of, but I couldn’t narrow things down any further from the 576 pictures I took. (This was my first family shoot back since we all started social distancing and I guess I was a little excited!) These may be my new favorite pictures! I’m thinking I need to print a big one to update my samples! Which one should I choose?
