Family pictures are starting up again and I couldn’t be happier! I’ve missed seeing everyone! This session was an especially happy reunion as it is my family! My brother and sister in law and their cute kids! In fact, it was the first time I had seen them since Jones’ drive by birthday party in April! But probably most exciting of all was getting to meet my newest niece! I was supposed to photograph her birth story, but Covid had other plans. Instead, we were able to wait and do family pictures + newborns. Steph was on board for trying out something new and we started planning their outdoor newborn and family picture session. I had heard through the photo grape vine that the yellow flowers up Ensign peak were in bloom. They were the perfect touch for pictures! Not to mention they weren’t that far up so we didn’t have to hike the whole trail with a week old and a recovering mama. When we got there, it was such a present surprise to find some purple flowers too! The girls loved having their pictures taken next to the flowers! Little miss C was not too thrilled about her mom wanting some of her in my old suitcase, but we were able to snap a few frames before she got her way and was held the rest of the session. I can’t tell you how good for my soul it was to not only be photographing family pictures again, but to be photographing my family. So good.
