Last month I somehow convinced my sister to get up with us in the early hours of the morning, drive for an hour and a half and be my human tripod for my own family pictures. I credit her willingness to the fact that she just got home from a mission and is used to serving people, and the fact that I offered some cute poppy pictures in exchange. (I still got the better end of the deal! ha!) Makayla slept over at my house so that we could leave straight from my driveway. When we loaded up the car with kids and equipment I didn't fully take in what she was wearing. It wasn't until we got to the field that I noticed Makayla had decided on wearing leggings, a utility jacket and some raw hemmed empire waisted shirt that had once been a dress that she had never tried on before. Big sister to the rescue. Luckily I anticipated wanting to change out of my cream dress for breakfast and had brought my play dress. I changed out of my cream dress into my play dress and made Makayla put it on. She looked SO GOOD in it and SO much better than her first choice which was a result in late night packing. The morning light was glorious and so yummy, I just ate it up! I'm still in shock that we had that entire poppy field to ourselves! I joked around that this could be Mak's new Tinder profile picture (spoiler alert, she's single and headed down to UVU in the fall!) It was so fun to have some sister time together after having her gone for 18 months. I loooove these pictures too! They turned out amazing!
