Why You Should Wear Neutrals For Your Summer Photoshoots | Whitney Beth Photography
Summer is my favorite time of year for pictures. It’s warm out, which means no runny noses, no cold kids and plenty of color in the landscape. When it comes to picking out outfits, my favorites lately have been neutrals - especially for summer!
- Easy to find.
- If you’ve ever been part of a wedding party with specific color requirements or even colors needed for family pictures, it can be tough walking into a store and seeing they are only carrying three colors of clothes - none of which are what you need. Lucky you, neutrals will always be in style and available no matter the season.
- Neutrals look so good with the scenery.
- Summer is full of green trees, yellow grass and colorful wildflowers. Neutrals help match the background while also helping you stand out! It’s a perfect amount of give and take.
- They look good on everyone.
- This is especially helpful when trying to make everyone happy and willing to get their pictures taken. Neutrals look so good with sun kissed skin - which screams “summer time.” There are also different levels of neutrals that help make it so even your winter and fall complexion people can find something that they’ll like.
- Timeless
- I use this example a lot, but when you think 80’s, neon prints and loud colors come to mind. Nothing wrong with that, it was in style, but if you are planning on having these pictures on your wall, you might want something that will be in style and look good as part of your decor. Neutrals will always be timeless. No matter what the actual clothes look like. The neutral color will camouflage whatever style of dress you’re wearing and help avoid “dating” your images.
