The Traveling Family Photographer | Whitney Beth Photography

Last week in my stories I had some time to kill and put up a question box. One of my followers asked if I'd come out to Vermont to photograph her family! While it is a little unorthodox to fly your family photographer out to you, it is something that I offer! Because here's the thing, I love traveling and I love photographing - if I can find a way to do both, I for sure am going to try! Some of my favorite shoots have been out of state, if anything for the different landscape! 

So how does that work? 

I'm going to assume you all love me enough to book, but to fly me out just for pictures?? Let's be realistic here. ha. 

However - if you and a few friends all decide they need family or senior pictures, now that's where things start becoming a possibility. It is so much more cost effective to divide my travel fee among a handful of clients than to have to foot the bill by yourself. And while travel fees vary depending on location, the more people want pictures, the less the cost is. 

I know you're probably thinking that this seems great in theory, but have I actually ever done this?

The answer; yes. 

In fact, nearly every time I go to Oregon I book photoshoots. And it's just as seamless as if we were back home in Utah.

If you've worked with me before, you know I'm all about that in person meet ups to design and choose your pictures. With out of state clients I'm able to virtually meet and choose images. In fact, one time I had an extended family shoot and everyone joined in from all over the united states to have their say in their favorite pictures. Once your photos are ordered and delivered to me, I inspect them and then carefully package them up and ship them off to their new home. Easy peasy.
