My favorite part of spring is chasing all the different bloom schedules across the valley. In June, it's poppy season! Since Mantua is a bit of a drive for me, I have a list of things that I'm pretty picky about if I plan to shoot there. The first is that we do a sunrise shoot on a weekday, the second is I stack photoshoots back to back. With this year and me being pregnant, I wasn't sure if I was going to be able to swing it, but then my best friend messaged me and asked for poppy family pictures and that was all the motivation I needed to get a few more sessions booked right after hers. 

We got to the field about 6:30 am and the session started at 6:45 am. Lucky for the Morris crew, they have a MUCH quicker commute at about 20 minute drive from Corrine. I was so happy to see Odie in the car too! Odie is their one year old lab that is the biggest sweetheart/spazzball ever! He just did his own thing and explored during the shoot and whenever he got close we'd try and corral him into a picture! Ha! It was so fun to be in the poppies with my best friend and her family! I love Amanda's girls and have them call me aunt Whitney! We took their pictures here last year - which is what prompted this family shoot! The light was beautiful and their outfits were so great for the location! Enjoy my favorites from the shoot and see if you can find a fluffy butt in a few frames! Ha!
